Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Thai Industrial Platform (“TIP”, “we”) collects, why, and what rights you have. We aim to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection law in the jurisdictions where we operate.
1. What we collect
- Your email address, when you sign in or subscribe to the newsletter. This is the only personal detail we ask you for.
- Authentication data — session information handled by our authentication provider so you stay signed in.
- Usage data — the pages you visit, the links and buttons you click, the site or campaign that referred you, your device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. If you are signed in, this is linked to your account ID, not to your email address. We do not record your screen or what you type.
We do not ask for, and do not store, payment details. TIP is free and takes no payment.
2. Why we process it
- To give you access to the database and research — our legitimate interest in delivering the free service you signed up for.
- To send the monthly letter, only where you have opted in (consent). You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
- To understand how the site is used and improve it. Counting visits without storing anything on your device is based on our legitimate interest; remembering you across visits with analytics cookies happens only if you accept them (consent).
3. Who processes data on our behalf
- Clerk — authentication and sign-in
- Loops — email delivery
- Substack — the newsletter publication, where you subscribe there
- Vercel — hosting
- PostHog — product analytics. Usage data is processed in the United States.
Each processes data on our behalf under standard data processing terms. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.
4. Retention
We keep your email while your account is active. If you unsubscribe, we remove you from the mailing list within 30 days. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email info@thaiindustrialplatform.com and we will respond within 30 days.
6. Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for sign-in and session management, and these are always on. We also use analytics cookies from PostHog, which let us recognise a returning visitor and see which links bring people to TIP. These are set only if you accept them in the banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, we still count page visits, but nothing is stored on your device. We do not use advertising cookies.
7. Company information published on TIP
TIP publishes research on companies, drawn from official public filings and other public records. Where this includes information about individuals (for example directors or shareholders named in public filings), we process it on the basis of legitimate interest in providing business research.
